Doddinghurst Village Hall

The Doddinghurst Village Hall is pleased to once again provide its facilities for this fantastic village event. During the past six decades The Hall has been run as a charity to provide a venue for meetings, parties, dances and sporting and educational gatherings. It continues to support local groups within the community, including Pre School, Doddinghurst Olympics Football Club, the Horticultural Society, the Bowls Club, Karate, Dance and Drama clubs, and many more.

Mainly due to mindless vandalism, the Hall has to be constantly maintained and improvements made. The money generated from the Donkey Derby forms an integral part of our annual income and ensures that the Hall is available for use on a day-to-day basis.

The Doddinghurst Village Hall is run by trustees elected each year by the people of Doddinghurst to provide its services for the local community and we continually seek willing volunteers to share with the running of the Hall. Exciting times are potentially ahead as we investigate ways to modernise and upgrade the Hall and for this we do need your support and feedback. Finally, next time you have a function, why not contribute to the community and hold it in the Hall?
