For this year's Donkey
Derby a local band, 'Thirsty Work', again played a wonderful collection of hits
both new and classic. Their repertoire, spanning several decades, and
their wonderful performance was
a resounding hit with the visitors.

| The three members of the
band, guitarist Steve Dempsey, bass guitarist Adrian Pallett and drummer Tommy Pallett, are all from the Doddinghurst area.
Also entertaining the crowd, while the band had a
brief rest, was Adrian's daughter (and Tommy's sister!), Emma Pallett
who sang a selection of recent hit songs.
Emma's talent doesn't end with her singing - her
entry to the
Donkey Derby
